The North York Moors National Park has successfully secured £2.336 million of European funding to support businesses and projects in the area and is inviting local businesses, individuals, communities and organisations to apply for funding to help with projects that will make a positive and direct contribution to the local economy.
Thornton Le Street wins Heritage Lottery Fund support
Today, Thornton Le Street History Group has received £98,200 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for an exciting project, Roads to the Past, which will study the history of the village and its surrounding area. Led by volunteers from the local community the project will trace the history of the village from its conjectured origins in Roman times through to the present day. Read more

Striders walks are approx. 5 miles led by guides. All walk at their own risk, free of charge except for insurance cover etc. for which we charge a small annual fee.
Money will also be required to buy refreshments during or at the end of each walk.
