Thirsk Community Library Steering Group invite the public and guests to join them at the Library in Meadowfields, Thirsk, on Saturday 1st April to celebrate the opening of Thirsk Community Library. From April 1st the Library will be run and managed by volunteers with the support of North Yorkshire County Council.

National Park Seeks New Member
The search is on for a new colleague to join the North York Moors National Park Authority’s team of Members – an influential group of people who play a major role in shaping the direction of the Authority. The appointments will be made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), The Rt Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP, later this year.
