Ripon Cathedral welcomes back Black Dyke Band this September

Ripon Cathedral are delighted to welcome back the world-famous Black Dyke Band after the huge success of the 2014 concert.

Black Dyke is the most recorded band in the world with over 350 recordings. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world having won the European Championships 13 times, the British Open no fewer than 30 times and the National Championships of Great Britain 23 times. The impressive live band have performed with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Jools Holland and Sir Elton John, and recorded with Paul McCartney.
The concert shall take place in the beautiful setting of Ripon Cathedral on Saturday 3 September and tickets are now available to purchase online, from the Cathedral shop and via post.

Also featured in the Concerts programme is a specially commission piece of music: ‘Five Rivers’, a pastoral symphony offers a chance to experience the landscape of the Yorkshire region in dramatic images, and through the unique medium of the British Brass Band.
The concert will take place on Saturday 3 September at 7.30pm and tickets are available to purchase now. All of the funds raised from this concert shall contribute towards Ripon Cathedral Renewed, a project helping to develop the future of Ripon and a 21st Century Cathedral and helping to Grow God’s County.

Tickets start from just £10 for under 16’s, £15 non-reserved and £20 reserved.
