Ripon’s Annual Sunrise Walk – Sunday 11th October

Book your place!

Following last years’ successful new route along the waterways of the district, Ripons’ 2015 Fundraising Walk in support of residents living with terminal illness, returns on 11 October.

The Saint Michael’s Sunrise Walk, sponsored by Eura Audit UK (Ripon Office), and organised this year by Saint Michaels’ “Crimple Valley Fundraising Volunteer Group” will give an option of two lengths of walk, 4 and 6 miles.

This year, to ring the changes, the walk will leave Ripon Cathedral at dawn, following part of the Sanctuary Way Walk, with magnificent views of Ripon Cathedral as the sun rises, returning to the Cathedral for a “breakfast buttie” and refreshments.

Now in its’ 6th year, this early morning walk, has attracted hundreds of people, with everyone fore-going their Sunday lie-in, simply to raise money and show their support for Saint Michael’s, the charity that cares for hundreds of Ripon families each year who are affected by terminal illness and bereavement.

“We are hoping to surpass all previous monies raised”

As last year, the event is suitable for all ages, with the bonus this year of the choice of 2 distances, and walkers are very welcome to bring their four-legged friends!!

Registration is £10 for adults and £5 for under 15s. If you sign up before Monday 15th September, you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £30 gift voucher.
